No sewing. Just gentle tucking. Pure creative calm. Kinusaiga is the Japanese art of collage, like paint by numbers and a jigsaw puzzle but with beautiful fabrics.

About the event

Kinusaiga Workshop – Create Your Own Textured Fabric Artwork

Join me at Studio Infinara for a relaxed and creative workshop exploring the beautiful art of Kinusaiga. Kinusaiga is a contemporary Japanese craft where beautiful fabric scraps are tucked into a foam base to create gorgeous, 3D textured pictures. It is often described as a mix between a cosy jigsaw puzzle and textile art—and it is one of the most meditative, satisfying crafts you will ever try.

The Ultimate Mistake-Proof Craft!

If you often feel intimidated by art classes or worry about making mistakes, this workshop is your safe haven. Because there is no tricky stitching involved, Kinusaiga is entirely reversible! If you tuck a piece of fabric in and do not like how it looks, you simply pull it out and try a different texture or colour. It is a completely judgement-free space designed to help you de-stress and play.

As a local artist, I have been creating art my whole life and have more than a decade of teaching experience. I will guide you through the process step-by-step, ensuring you leave with a finished piece you are proud of.

Choose Your Seasonal Design

To make your experience completely stress-free, I have pre-cut a selection of beautiful, exclusive 15cm x 15cm templates. For these sessions, you can choose from our brand-new Autumn Collection, or opt for one of our classic Summer Coast & Garden favourites if you prefer!

Our brand-new Autumn designs include:

  • The Wise Owl: A beautiful, detailed woodland owl sitting against a warm autumnal backdrop.

  • The Patchwork Pumpkin: A rich, multi-textured harvest pumpkin framed by deep seasonal colours.

  • The Woodland Squirrel: A charming, cosy squirrel snacking on an acorn amidst leafy greens.

  • The Magic Mushroom: A whimsical red-and-white toadstool growing in a mossy clearing.

Prefer a brighter vibe? You are also welcome to choose from our Summer collection: The Summer Daisy, Rolling Hills, Coastal Lighthouse, or Tropical Fish!
